What is the Assembly of Champions?

The Assembly of Champions (AoC) is a player advocacy group consisting of players elected by the Paladins game community to provide continuous feedback to the development team at Evil Mojo Games. The Assembly of Champions brings constructive feedback from the community, represents the community’s interests across all demographics and platforms, and acts as a focus group for Paladins initiatives.

  • An annual summit, where council members will travel to Evil Mojo Games to attend several days of sessions and workshops. The annual summit during the 2021 term will be held in the summer of 2021.
  • Note: The Evil Mojo team will be paying close attention to public health guidelines and may choose to hold the annual summit remotely.

Once voting has ended, Hi-Rez will contact the potential new council members to execute any required documentation and organize the first player council meetings.

Applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and meeting the foregoing requirements is not a guarantee for selection into the voting phase or as a council member. As an initial matter, applications that contain obscene, offensive, vulgar, or discriminatory material will be removed. We reserve the right to disqualify applications, including, without limitation, applications that (a) are incomplete or unclear; (b) violate any applicable laws, including without limitation, infringement of intellectual property; (c) contain fraudulent, erroneous, or misleading information; or (d) are otherwise detrimental or damaging to Hi-Rez Studios and its affiliates. We reserve the right to disqualify applications that do not comply with these rules.

Term Length

The council will sit for a term of 12 months, from January 2021 to January 2022.

Members of the Assembly can run again in successive elections, and there is no limit to the number of times they may be elected. In cases of Code of Conduct breaches or NDA violations, members of the council may be dismissed. In cases where a member resigns or is dismissed from the council before the end of their term, the candidate with the next highest number of votes that wasn't elected may be asked to join the council.

Meeting Schedule, Flow, and Communication

Assembly meetings will be held bi-weekly and cover upcoming content, development priorities, production roadmaps, ideas, features in active development, and theory and design approaches for potential features.

Code of Conduct

As representatives of the community, members of the council are expected to be active, engaging, and respectful. This includes without limitation abiding by the following requirements:

  • Members of the Assembly of Champions are expected to engage in discussion with Evil Mojo and other council members in a professional and constructive manner.
  • Members of the Assembly are expected to respect their Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA) at all times and keep ongoing discussion with Evil Mojo private unless cleared to do so by the Evil Mojo Assembly Representatives.
  • Members of the Assembly must follow the EULA and TOS at all times.
  • Members of the Assembly are expected to maintain a reasonable level of activity with the Assembly and may not miss more than three weeks’ meetings in a row unless reasonable explanation is given.

  • Failure to abide by the code of conduct can result in early dismissal from the Assembly.
